This module will enable victim advocates to:

1. Recognize key differences between the U.S. criminal and civil legal systems as well as the key differences between civilian, military, and tribal criminal justice systems;
2. Understand the criminal justice system process from beginning to end;
3. Understand the language and basic legal concepts of the criminal justice system; and
4. Help victims navigate, or decide whether to navigate, the criminal justice system.
